I'm having trouble loading and running any of my snes roms. They are zipped, the emu sees them, but every time I load one (it doesn't matter which one I load), it gives an error, then after a few seconds... a blank screen... I can sit there for eternity, or I can click then right thumbstick to get back to the menu and try another. Here's the message it gives me...
I must say, I have about 900 roms loaded and it does the exact same thing to all roms I've tried thus far.

AT LAST!!! SOMEONE ELSE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM!!
i have searched all of cyberspace for 2 days looking for someone with this problem.
OK, I am currently using Xsnes9X and a heap of my roms do not work. Here's an example using the rom 'jeopardy! (u).smc' and this is the exact message i get when i load it,
"?????????????????????" [bad checksum] LoROM Corrupt, Type: ROM+ST-018, Mode: ef, TV: PAL S-RAM: 4KB, ROMid: ???? Company: FF
WTF DOES THAT MEAN!!!????
Here is a list of the things I have done to combat this foolishness;
Went from Unleashx0.37.1205A to Unleashx.0.39.0515A (My current Dashboard)
Went from EvoX +3921 to Slayers Evox 2.7 FINAL
Slapped on XSnes9X 1.42 and ZsnexBox v3.0 and tried it with them
Searched the internet for eternity and followed people's random advice which included (delete the Xsnes9X save file in MSDash) and (Make sure the rom works using GoodSnes)
My Xbox is a retail mod with 4.7gigs of space.
My brother has a modded xbox with the only differences being that he uses EvoX Dashboard and has a 100gig F drive. He uses a normal Xsnes9X emulator and can play ANY game perfectly. He can load up the exact same jeopardy! file in a breeze with the exact same Xsnes9X emulator.
I have come to a few conclusions as to why its not working on mine;
Not enough RAM
Not enough Memory/Space
Haven't got milk
Now please, for the love of god, tell me WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!!??

For one use Zsnexbox V3.2 for SNES emulation. I use it and it works fine. Also you have to unzip the ROMS from the .rar format. If you leave it in the .rar, it will not work. _________________

I use xSnes9x and have all of my ROM's unzipped, which works without a problem. Have you tried with them unzipped?
It must have something to do with my xbox if this ZsnexBox 3.2 doesn't work because not many other people have the same prob.
I have tried nearly everything and I'm exhausted. I hope to christ this 3.2 works....

OK that didn't work.
The emulator booted fine and I selected jeopardy but it just crashes. The screen doesn't even change, it just freezes and dies.
Sigh, any suggestions?

Okay.....- THE SOLUTION
The roms I had were single files that were not compatible on my xbox. In order to get the same games working, download a torrent that has compressed multiple files so you can try a number of times to see if it IS compatible to your xbox.
My Jeopardy! jeopardy was averted by DLing a torrent with multi-files. Included was ;
Jeopardy! (U).smc Worked
Jeopardy! (U) [b1].smc Dud
Jeopardy! (U) [h1C].smc Worked
Personally, I believe all emulators work the same with only minor differences.
Thank you and goodnight _________________ Man 1: (looks up at the sky) It's a bird!

yeh, it won't be an xbox problem I doubt, most likley a rom format problem or some setting in the emu.
I would just try a diff emu with unzipped roms.
The different rom revisions are just regional most of the time so should not be a huge issue.
