My situation is a lil different from most. I've searched the web for 2 days looking for a forum with tips, but none matched my circumstance. Before I start I want to thank anyone who takes the time to help me. I've had the same xbox since it's release nov. 01 and I'd hate to loose it. If I post anything against the rules sorry, this is my first post.
So I have a Modded xbox with executioner. I didn't install so I don't know much about it. I recently DL FlashFxp to my computer. I pressed delete on some certain files of the xbox, emulator files. And when I went back to the window FlashFxp was deleting files from my c/ drive. I'm not sure which ones. But I aborted the delete and broke the connection. Whenever I try to power on my xbox with mod chip switched to on I get the error 13 code. When I try with it off, I don't get any picture or sound. BUT! I can place a disc in, power off and back on and it will play the xbox disc. Thanks to some forums I'm trying things but no luck yet. I'd hate to loose anything else trying something new, I hope there is an easier way for my circumstance. Since I still have some files and all. Thanks again.

Ok, your problem is it really did delete part of the dashboard! Thats pretty crappy. Ok, what I'd recommend if you DON'T play Xbox Live, is to install the AID disc and put in the hacked MS dash there, because 13 translates into part of the dash is missing. Otherwise, if you back up some stuff, you can again put in AID so you can FTP your xbox and then transfer your C: back to it. If you need some of the original C drive, I'll see what I can do to give it to you, but you'd have to contact me via AIM.

So I just need some of the C/ drive. How do I find out what I need if I can't connect my xbox with FlashFxp anymore. More importantly how do I transfer the files to xbox.

Luckily you have a mod chip. Download the AID (Auto Installer Deluxe) disc and burn it to a dvd-r. Theres a torrent link in the downloads and at www.aideluxe.com . If you need help or are unsure about torrents we can help you with that too. Just let us know man. _________________

Hey thanks for the tips so far. I'm currently downloading AID, but with it's size and my 44 kb/s Dl rate, I'll be waiting a while. I will definitly need help with the rest. I've been trying to fix it from reading forums for the last 2 days. I didn't want to ask an already answered somewhere question. So thanks, I'll take any help I can find.

Simple fix, ok i have some tuts for you. You will need to make an UnleashX boot disk and put it into your xbox. Now when you turn on the box it will boot to unleashx. Then FTP the ms dash files to your C:\. I have a download for the MS dash files.

Thanks for the tip DarthT33bagger. To anyone who knows, which way is easier, using AID, or unleash x boot cd? I'm completely new, so unless there is a strategy guide for these, with pics and video, I'm looking for the easiest one to use with good results.

ok. So I've gotten AID. I've made the ISO, although it looks like a rar file. And I don't know how to burn it to cd. The Dvd Decripter didn't burn the file.. E 01:24:27 Failed to Write Sectors 5632 - 5663 - Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format. ??? I have Quix but not sure how to use it properly. It has an option to rename xbe and some other stuff. I feel like I'm so close yet so, so very far away.

I used alcohol 120 to burn the disc. I'm not sure if I did it right though. When put it in the xbox nothing happened. So with the disc inside, I powered off and then back on and The screen is cut diagonally, half is black, and the other half has the error message only this time it's error #16. Instead of me using a bunch of dvd-r's trying to make it work, I hope to hear from someone with more advice. Anything will help, thanks again.

Once you unrar the file you downloaded, you will see that there is an Auto Installer Deluxe 4.01.ISO file in the folder.
We recommend using DVD Decrypter to burn this file (you'll find this in the PC Tools folder, contained within the folder you downloaded) and burning the disc at the slowest possible speed. This will ensure maximum compatibility.

I get this message when trying to burn the iso using dvd decrypter. At 2x speed. Any ideas what it means. I'm trying to burn to blank dvd-r's and I used the 1 gig dummy file first, then added the Auto installer delux Iso, the other add ons, in the order they had on the manual. I did not add any bios or anything. Just skins, trainer pack. Oh, and the AID that I got didn't come with a ROM set patch. In the manual it said to put this file last and that it would be in the add on folder. I didn't see it. I need some help.

When I first opened the file after downloading I used winrar on one of the files. But there are like 10 that are all the same size and all winrar archives. So I chose one unrared it or whatever, and when I go through the folder it have the "autoinstallerdelux iso" as a winrar archive. Is this normal? Is any of it normal?

Why when I load the disc in my xbox the screen is cut diagonally from top left corner to bottom right. The bottom portion is all black, and the top portion has the error screen only this time, instead of error 13 like it normally shows, it's now 16???

follow the instructions in the pdf file ( the one for AID ). Thats what i did after a few unsuccessful burns. Read it cafefully and follow the steps TO THE T. I cant remember every step ( which is why I'm directing you the pdf file ) but if you do what it says you wont have any problems and you will have perfect burn. Give it another go ahead and let us know
