My emulators are working fine on my box, but they are not on my brother's. It is only with the xport emulators, the other emulators seem to work fine, and it is all the same problem. When the emulator starts up, the image is all garbled as if it were sending the wrong kind of signal to the screen. (it is an HD screen, by the way, and it can handle every mode up to 1080i)
I can work my way through the menu (by memory) to access the display mode. All I have to do is select the display mode again and it will suddenly fix itself. It saves this configuration of course, but the problem starts up again the next time I go in. I just select 480i again and it works great. I can select 480p and it works great. I can select 720p and it resets back to the garble, but selecting it again causes it to work great. (1080i causes the box to freeze, whatever.)
This is a problem uniform to all of the X-port emulators, the other emulators I have work fine.
We didn't download them and install them onto his box anew, we simply copied over them from my xbox. I don't know where to find the originals anyway.
(And while we're on the subject of x-port, what the heck is PcsXbox supposed to run anyway? An .iso file or something? It doesn't seem to want to play any ps1 game I feed it, or does it play something else and I was fooled by the SotN motif it uses?)

The emulators dont support hd so what you need to do before you launch the emulators is set the dash to 480i then launch them.

They don't support HD? and yet I run them off of my HD.
Technically, that is quite possible, and would explain why FCE keeps saying that it is exploring the D drive.
Well alright, but that solution still doesn't make sense... How am I setting the Dash to 480i first? To my knowledge, his box is setting nothing different than mine. I was running them both on an HD signal that supports every display mode. UnleashX was running in 1080i just fine on my box, and then it switches to 480 when it loads the emulator. The garbled image my brother receives is also labeled as 480. (the TV switches automatically, it seems to identify correctly what kind of signal it receives, so Ithe problem does not lie with the TV thinking it has a wrong resolution, the xbox is sending a garbled image at the proper settings.)
I appreciate the help, but that does not seem to be the solution I am looking for.
