I plan on adding a neon light under the jewel of my xbox. in order to do so i had to remove the metal plate which I can only assume is a heatshield. Anyone else have problems after removing this?

I already got it off. My approach was the BFS (big f***in screwdriver) and some elbow grease. But I'll keep it in mind if I'm ever fooling around with another one.

It's not a heat shield really (It's aluminum and that metal just transfers heat quite nicely, lol). It's meant for electronic interference. Most people have no problem removing those.
