I finnaly managed to drag my self away from WoW and have started work on my friends Xbox. He wants Linux on it and XBMC, but that is for later.
I installed the DuoX 2 with the LPC rebuild board. All solder joints look ok to me and my Dad who has been soldering for 20 years! The Xbox frags with DVD/HDD in or out. Now it has been ages since I installed a chip so have no idea (newbie forums) on how to solve this problem.
Note: This was my first 1.6. Drive is an Hitachi (lucky!)
Throw the ideas at me!

I used the flash tutorial on here and checked the grpahics chips etc.. to identify it was 1.6 as the serial number was unsucessful.
Any more ideas?

try putting the hdd, and dvd in, and plus in the AV cables into the box... was the xbox fine before you installed the chip? _________________ (2) XBOX v1.4:

The Xbox was fine. I have tried it with AV cables as I know it flashes without them.
