3.5" IDE HDD

You'll have to use adaptors for anything else.

Maxtors, WD and Seagate work the best.(easiest)

Switch the ribbon to an 80 wire IDE ribbon for faster seek times....it's minimal , but a nice touch.

Maxtor & Seagates are the best. Im not a big fan of WD's as they seem to crash a lot. Just make sure its eide and is lockable. I have actually run into drives that we not lockable.

Check this site for drive compatibility:

Happy Modding!

Just your standard 250Gb HDD really, it'll do the job.

P.S. Seagate own Maxtor now, so any drive by either would be fine. I have a Maxtor 160Gb HDD in mine, locked and running with no probs.

Well I have had 2 WD 250s and 1 320 with no problems from either of them so to each his own but I do like seagate too. I am planning on upgrading to a seagate 400GB here soon.
