XBOX MFG DATE: 01/08/2004
Okay I bet you all are wondering what I am talking about. Here it goes...
I recently bought a Psyclone a/v cable for my Xbox to give it 5.1 surround sound. I plugged the cable in and tried to play a game and got the dreaded error screen. Error 21 in fact. Up until this point my Xbox had NEVER been opened or modded. Since then I have tried to "fix" my Xbox by hotswapping. Hmmm didn't quite work. I erased my drive completely:( I do not have a mod chip and would like to restore my box to factory condition at least until I can save up to buy a chip and bigger dirve. Any help would greatly be appreciated for this noob. I just need to know HOW to restore my drive/Xbox so I can play it again. PLZ help

either the X3 or the Xenium Gold. But a modchip sounds the way to go from here
you could build an eeprom reader and read the eeprom info then use that to create an xbox HDM disc but for what its worth a modchip is easier.

you all are a LIFESAVER believe me. Thank you for the info so far... Now what modchip should i buy and where from. I heard solderless is junk in the long run? also how big of a HD can I or should I use? Next, what software? And last what emulators can I use and where could I find them. Again...a lifesaver!

We all suggest the Xecuter3CE, with a xapt3r, its solderless, it also depends on what version your xbox is.. so you need to know that and no they arent junk in the long run as long as you apply good pressure when installing i have never had any problems with it. you can get as large of harddrive that you want. i think somewhere around 500GB is the biggest?? i have a 250GB big enough for me. and if you become a VIP member or you can use torrents and get the AID V3.10 disk and it has all the emulators already on it.. also with the AID you can format your drive really easy and install everything if you end up getting a chip.

because people dont fit them properly. I have used many solderless installs and there all fine. You have to take the time to prepare and fit the kit. do a good job and you'll have no problems
