hey guyz just warning all member to not download any version of Sid from anyother place besides HQ, a friend of mine today stopped buy , and told me that he tried to softmod his xbox with a copy of Sid3,0, when he started the process via splinter cell it went blank and rebooted his xbox and unlocked the HDD, all versions of sid on this site are safe.
we will find out were the contaminated files are hosted, and let you know till we get this sorted for your sake download from hq only, this sould include all homebrew just to be safe. i believe xbins may be safe i dunno
J8994 should be getting the proof soon, as this cant really wait. _________________

ok the files came from AR/code junkies. when i got the files off his hdd, after i locked it, there where no xbes in the gsme save file, just a blank folder, which to me doesnt make since. i was toldby him that his firend had goten the files 3 months ago or so. so dont download any softmod stuff from there. ill keep everyone posted if i findout anything else _________________ Please post all PC Questions at PC-HQ.com

WTF! i cannot believe that some one would want to sabotage an xbox? what benefit are they getting from ruining an orignally $300 piece of equipment?

This could be badd for the modding community. We wont get any new crop rolling in because they all dont want to ruin their xboxs. I dont think it will happen but its a possibility.
When we find out all that we need to know, will there be a way to fix all of these badd files on the sites, as we cannot get to all the xboxs to fix them?

I'm compiling MD5 hashes now for Gameshark and Standard AR SID saves. once I"m done listing them all; i'll post them here (unless DJB has them stored somewhere and can quickly post them now). that totally sux - remeber the guy who wanted to create a xbox virus?? seems like someone else has beaten him to it! would u count this as a virus, or a malicous program??? what gits i feel sorry for all those with dud xboxs now!!!
