Xenium made a very, very sick 1.6 adapter. It's got all the 1.6 rebuild points done and ready for ya. And honestly, if you have a 1.6, I think that adapter would be the ONLY way to chip your box, even over solder. It doesn't get much simpler.
See how it already sets up for the rebuild? It's sooooo hot!
But as far as for 1.0-1.5 boxes, I highly reccomend Xectuer's Newest Xapter adapter, shown below.
Solderless has definitely gotten better.

I don't need it right now or anything like that, I was more discussing the 1.6 solderless adapters. But thanks for the offer, if I had a 1.6 to throw it in I would take you up on it.

No doubt about that, hence why I didn't mind with having a go at solderless. The Xenium 1.6 Adapter looks a lot more easier and less complicated than the Xeucter, so I know which adapter to get for a 1.6 now.
The 1.0-1.5 one looks quite nice too. Damn they must've only just brought these out, otherwise I would've got this one with my package (only got the blue one, but it still did the job fine).

no, it all depends on where you ordered it from. I got mine from www.modchip.com I believe. The one based in FL with crappy customer service. Most dealers will go wtih the Xapter you have because it's cheaper, and they'll charge the same for it. I just got lucky and made sure I had the right package. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

Is it seated all the way down on the pinheader?
Cause that sucks, it has to be the chip itself. lemme check mine when I get home and see what lights show up _________________

I think there are 2 blue leds and a red one on the x3 itself. sounds to be the d0 wire is causing it. if the xbox boots to the ms dash when the d0 is disconnected, check your d0 location and soldering job. you should be able to give the wire a *small* tug and have it stay attached. Also, did you use the top or bottom of the motherboard for your d0? I suggest the bottom. _________________

It should come pre-flashed with flashbios. If it didn't, you can use the softmod, boot to evox and flash that way. If thats what you want to do, let me know cause you'll have to edit your evox.ini file to recognize the x3 bios banks _________________
