what do i have to do to make this work? i deleted my xbmc and ftp'd this one over....its there but i can only get to it if i leave aid in the drive and go through file explorer.....if i just turn it on it freezes at XBMC startup screen......
i know its something simple to like replacing an xbe or something but i dont wanna go messin ish up...... _________________

well if you look at the current xbe for your current dash, you have name it the same. You have to delete and replace the files, as risky as that sounds. I know that scares me lol _________________

ok well its softmodded....and in E i have evoxdash.xbe....and in E/XBMC i have default.xbe.....
before i posted the topic i tried renaming a copy of the E/XBMC/default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe and overwriting it but that gave me an error where i had ftp access but nothing else.....i believe i tried it the other way around as well and same thing.......
maybe we'll get an aid update pack?
i thought my box was F'd when i got that error....lol....it was just red text and a black screen.....ive never seen/heard of this one before..... _________________

originally sid 4.0 but upgraded to 4.5 with the aid 3.01 disc i think.....maybe 3.04.....
right now im ftp'in it to my apps cause i saw you mention something about that in the newbie section.....we'll see if it works there for now..... _________________

lol....good? maybe...smart? apparently not today....i really shouldve thought of that myself lol.....thanks for suggesting it to the other person though.....it works fine as an app......i guess ill have to wait for the one with the GOD complex**cough DJB cough** to make another update pack.... _________________

Well the xbox shouldnt even notice the change if you just switched the dash, as to why it dont wanna take, I dont know, it could be you may have to delete the xbmc memory too. _________________

You problem is that it is in an XBMC folder inside E. Copy all contains of XBMC folder to E:/ and then rename the default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe

See I read that the short cuts fixed that. But I am having the same iusses as him. Please help my dash is all crapped up _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!
