Just recieved the disks from DJB a few days back so I can mod my box. (dont have burner and havent broke down to get one, YET)

Do I need to do anything to the eeprom other than backing it up?

Also, is there instructions on how to connect to xbox to my PC so I can FTP to it? It may be easier than I know, but want to be sure of the process before I do something wrong. (I have a tendency to Jack Shit up)

I have a Linksys "wired" router connecting my PC to the internet and home network. Not sure what version though.

Thanks in advance!

You don't need to do anything to the eeprom other than back it up. Once you get FTP up and running, back it up to your PC as well.

As for HOW to FTP, if you have a router, probably the easiest way would be to set your dashboard settings to DHCP, connect a patch cable between the router and your xbox, and reboot the xbox. It should get an IP address like 192.168.x.x. If it does, great, you should be able to open an FTP client, connect to whatever address the xbox has, and BAM!

If you need furthe info on how to ftp, just do a search in the tutorials section of this site, lots of good infomation there.
