Here is a easier way to change your softmod hard drive in a 1.0 - 1.5 version xbox and its really simple admin feel free to make this sticky all you need is chmip 2.4 and a Y splitter. you can get a Y splitter at staples for like $3.00 and chimp 2.4 is on the aid disk. heres how you do it.
make sure that you move the jumper on the new drive to slave and use the Y splitter to connect both hard drives so they both have power. loosen the IDE cable on the dvd drive a little bit and power on the xbox. when the xbox turns on start up chimp 2.4. as soon as it starts unplug the cable from the dvd drive and insert it into the new hard drive. now all you have to do is follow the list its pretty simple to do just make sure when your done you move the jumper back to master and the new drive and install it and your done you have just upgraded your hard drive and you did not have to take your computer apart to do it. I have done it yet on a 1.6 xbox but someone told me that you can use telnet as soon as I do I will let everyone know how to do it

No you didnt. there where alot of people asking where to find it and they always said they couldnt find it there so I just thought it would be nice if they could find it a little easier thats all i wasnt trying to step on your toes bro sorry
