Sega Europe officially has unveiled OutRun 2. According to the announcement, OutRun 2 is an Xbox-exclusive which will be shown in the flesh at E3. The playable version to be presented at E3 will include a 2-4 player networked link-up mode.

The Xbox version of OutRun 2 features several enhancements over the arcade-board version, such as full Xbox Live support for online play and an extensive new single-player mission-mode. The usual unlockable elements will be included also (new cars? tracks?).

Fully licensed and approved by Ferrari, players can choose from one of eight different Ferrari cars including Enzo Ferrari, Dino 246 GTS, 365 GTS/4 Daytona, Testarossa, 360 Spider, 288 GTO, F40 and F50.
