Yes, it's true! A year ago Microsoft began to talk seriously about mouse and keyboard support on the Xbox One, and now the giant has confirmed that indeed this new option will debut very soon thanks to the collaboration with Razer, which will develop peripherals especially oriented to use with this popular game console.

Some users will have the privilege of being the first to preview that support that will actually extend to most wired or wireless keyboards and mice. To enjoy that option, yes, we will have to rely on the blessing of the developers, who will be the ones who will decide if they integrate that option in their developments.

Jason Ronald, one of the managers of the Xbox division, explained how mouse and keyboard support is not enabled by default in games. In fact, all development teams know their own titles better than anyone and Xbox supports them when creating the right experience for their video games (to ensure an optimal and fair gaming experience).

One of the first games to offer such support will be ''Warframe'' that many compare with ''Destiny 2'' and that will allow you to enjoy that game mode in which users can use mouse and keyboard in addition to the command (to squeeze this game to the fullest). The use of mouse and keyboard is seen by many "seasoned gamers" as a revolution where the Xbox is not independent but is supported by a PC as a more complex computer device. Not always old style anymore!

There is a possibility that additional fees will be charged, but of course that is not comparable to the new experiences that will be received by the players.

This support has generated a great debate regarding the potential danger that the mouse and the keyboard have as elements to introduce a competitive advantage in the online game: those who use the traditional command will be at a disadvantage, and here it will be interesting to see how they manage these differences. Will there be a matchmaking mode that takes this factor into account? It is not clear at the moment.

To note, Microsoft has stressed that they will celebrate their Inside Xbox event and will also give more details on new Xbox One games with support for mouse and keyboard. It will be then when we also know those specialized peripherals developed by Razer for the occasion. For us, the expectations given may not be entirely satisfying but at least we can expect that some of our favorite games might be on the list.
