At this years E3 press conference, Epic Games announced that Gears of War: Judgment will launch in 2013. There was no demo, but they did release the official boxart and trailer.
Gears of War: Judgment is a prequel to Gears of War, taking place after Emergence Day and the Pendulum. The game will feature a new mode called "Overrun" which is similar to Horde Mode and Beast Mode that pits humans against locust.
