With more and more huge titles hitting the shelves and all fighting for a spot in Ads and gamers homes they need to keep promotional ideas fresh and interesting to give them the edge they need.
One idea we are seeing more of is the pre-order bonus that has been getting more common in the last few months.
I'm sure you have all seen Grand Theft Auto IV and its buy now and get free Xbox Live points and Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2, is offering anyone who pre-orders the game extra content such as the TAR21 Assault Rifle and the M486 Assault Rifle, which will be unlock-able with a code distributed by the store.
Even the new title Lost Odyssey is getting in on the act with 1000 free Xbox Live points, twice what Grand Theft Auto IV is offering and at the price of some of the new titles out we need all the free stuff they can pack in to it.
