STARTING to get finger fatigue from all the hours you've spent playing on your Xbox? Now it's time to give that joystick a rest and to exercise your vocal cords.

Microsoft has come up with Music Mixer, which transforms your Xbox into a karaoke machine.

This is just one of 30 new titles that Xbox is announcing at X03, an exclusive launch on Friday at Far East Square.

Over the next three months, the games will bring the total number of Xbox titles available in Singapore to 150.

'By this Christmas, Xbox will already become the fastest-growing gaming platform in Singapore with the largest number of retailers supporting Xbox. Gamers can pick up Xbox and Xbox games from more than 120 locations across the island,' says Mr Alex Chua, product marketing manager from Microsoft's Home and Entertainment Division.

The new titles include Project Gotham Racing 2, Top Spin, Grabbed By The Goulies, Amped 2, Crimson Skies: High Road To Revenge, Splinter Cell and Ninja Gaiden.

Here's a preview of some of the new titles coming out over the next couple of months.

Music Mixer

Just when you thought the Xbox was just for games, along comes a novel use for the console, a karaoke machine.

The Xbox Music Maker (microphone included) allows you to show off your vocal ability by singing along to the dozen or so most requested karaoke songs included in the package.

After you get tired of these, you can remove the lyrics from your favourite CDs using the Music Mixer's digital lyric stripper and sing along to your entire collection.

Fable

In Fable, gamers decide 'Who will I be?' In this role-playing adventure game, you control a character from childhood to death, creating a unique individual though your character's actions.

All along, as in real life, your character is developing new skills that can be used for good or evil.

Players interact with a living and breathing world populated with creatures and citizens, each with unique cities and cultures.

How you deal with them will dictate how they deal with you. Your good, carefully cultivated reputation can turn out to be a fragile thing.

Halo 2

The hugely successful Xbox-based Halo is followed up with Halo 2. It continues the story of the Master Chief, a genetically enhanced super-soldier, in his battle against the Covenant.

The game's makers are promising something special for the follow-up, describing it as 'Halo on fire'. In Halo 2, you get even more vehicles and weapons, adding to an already substantial arsenal.

Fancy a shot at winning tickets to X03 and a chance to own an Xbox console?
