I noticed that some games changed the way how they decide if you are PAL or NTSC user. They use the Region Code instead of the PAL/NTSC setting.

If you want to check it yourself get Conflict Desert Storm 2 and try the following settings (use ConfigMagic(info) to change):
Game: PAL / EEprom: NTSC, Region 1 -> no intro movies, dirty disc error
Game: PAL / EEprom: PAL, Region 1 -> no intro movies, dirty disc error
Game: PAL / EEprom: NTSC, Region 4 -> works fine
Game: PAL / EEprom: PAL, Region 4 -> works fine
Game: NTSC / EEprom: NTSC, Region 1 -> works fine
Game: NTSC / EEprom: PAL, Region 1 -> works fine
Game: NTSC / EEprom: NTSC, Region 4 -> no intro movies, dirty disc error
Game: NTSC / EEprom: PAL, Region 4 -> no intro movies, dirty disc error

This information should be usefull for patch and tool authors.
