Some new FBAx Information:

FBAx B4 is going to be a big project for a number of reasons.

First of all we have decided to split the main executable up into seperate executables for each system. This is mainly beacuse in B3 we had to modifiy one of the Cave games driver code to use less memory than the windows version indicating that we are running out of memory. This will be especially true if the rumored Neogeo support makes it in to the next windows version of FBA, or if all the WIP drivers that members of the FBA team are working on make it in (see here for some ideas of what might make it in to the next windows version : http://fbl.emuunlim.com and here. There will of course still only be one main menu, but it will now have to load the specific executable for the system being emulated. We are hoping this will give us more memory but its going to be a little hard to tell how much more until the FBA team release the next version.

Secondly, with a bit of luck, we will have all new video code in the next version. It is hoped that the new video code will support some of the video features of the windows FBA (RGB effects, phospher feedback, maybe 3D projection). It is suspected that some of these options will only be suitable for people who use VGA or a PC TV card as a TV may not correctly render the image. We will see how this pans out.

Finally, we are looking in to fixing all the issues reported with B3 as well as a few adding a few new features here and there.

Also we don't have any sort of time scale for the next release but at this point it is expected to be months rather than weeks.
