Blade to Cut its Teeth as a Publisher

World Snooker Championship developer Blade interactive Studios has announced its intention to publish its own titles.

Manchester, UK-based Blade plans to publish the follow-up to World Snooker Championship 2007. The latest iteration of the 2 million selling snooker series will go by the abbreviated name WSC Real – 2008.

Blade says it is involved with in “advanced discussions” with numerous distributors and expects to make further announcements shortly.

“Blade is a company that is changing fast and this is a crucial step in our expansion plans. We are very excited at the prospect of publishing ourselves,” said Deborah Jones, managing director of Blade Interactive. “As individuals we are no strangers to publishing and this is a natural step for us.”

Blade’s publisher ambitions follow a recent move into the middleware market with its Infinite Worlds technology.
