Well kiddies, hell has officially frozen over…

Of course, I am referring to the most anti-corporate rock band EVER, the Sex Pistols, having re-recorded their hit “Anarchy In The UK" for Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock.

Yes, Activision announced today that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees recently hit the studio to re-record their once-incendiary single, which will be included in Legends of Rock as a master track.

So now any idiot can perform their own version of the punk anthem in the next installment of game franchise.

Boy, that’s great.

"Re-recording them [the songs] — what a stress you put on us but we rose to the occasion I think…admirably!" says frontman Johnny Rotten, adding that, "a bit of anarchy in a videogame is alright by me."

"It was great for Guitar Hero to, in a way, get us back in the studio. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out but it actually turned out great and I think everyone held their own," added guitarist Steve Jones. "I like it [Guitar Hero] because my friends' kids like it. And I like what kids like."

In related news, the band (minus Sid Vicious, who is still dead and barely played in the band when he was alive) will reunite for a one-off performance at London's Brixton Academy on Nov. 8 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their landmark album Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols.
