Meet The 'Gaming Widows'

Have you heard of "gamer widows?" It's a new-fangled term for the wives/husbands of hardcore gamers. They're here, and they're angry as hell that their marriages have been ruined by Everquest, World of Warcraft, Dark Age of Camelot and Zork.

MSNBC devoted an article to them. They've made sites. And comics.

The forum posts are either horribly tragic or morbidly funny, depending upon your mood and your point of of view. A quick check of the forums over at gamingwidow.com reveal hundreds of stories of spousal neglect: We're talking dudes who leave the hospital an hour after their wife has a C-section and leave their families for Night Elves who live across the country.

TheFeed has a suggestion for all gamers in relationships: Get a job connected to the game industry somehow. Then, when it's 3AM and you're raiding Molten Core or collecting Pokemen, you can be like, "Listen, babe, I am WORKING."

...Or you could try to balance your life and your gaming. So forums, let's hear from you: Are you a gaming widow? Ever wrecked a relationship from gaming? Or do you think the whole thing is a bit silly?
