Bad Soldering cause of 360 Failures?

A UK company (Micromart) that has been doing repairs on 360's with the Red Ring of Death has stated it will no longer continue to do repairs on the console. The company stated "We decided it wasn't in anybody's best interests to continue the sham that this fault is easily repaired...It is our belief that the only sensible way to repair it is to replace the motherboard with a new one without the inherent problems"
The company claimes they had an average of 30 360 units a week coming through all with the same problem, What is called Dry Joint. Dry joint is a faulty Soldering process. In a Dry Joint you have a bad connection between 2 components. Basicly the solder just does not take well. The component can work fine for months or years before the problem finely shows it self and begins to cause problems. Heat in the 360 causing things to expand and contract might be a possible factor that can make a bad solder connection fail.

The company ( Micromart ) says it has tried to contact Microsoft on support info and availability of replacement mother boards but has yet to get a response.
Microsoft continues to claim that the 360 does not suffer from any specific systemic flaw, but rather the 360 is just a very complex machine.
