Rally racing moves away from the track on PS3, 360 and PC.
This morning, Codemasters revealed more details on the next installment in their long running Colin McRae Rally series that's currently sold over 8 million copies across all platforms worldwide. DIRT: Colin McRae Off Road is the official title of the next-generation sequel, which Codemasters says will appear on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC simultaneously next year.
Though DIRT: Colin McRae Off Road will feature the same point-to-point racing the series has become known for, Codemasters hopes to up the ante with differing vehicle types, such as Dakar-style trucks and super-powered 4x4s in Rally Raid competitions, in addition to Rally Cross events where players must navigate both on and off the road during a race.
The game will also include official 2WD, 4WD, Classic and RWD rally cars.
