We already announced here not long ago that Microsoft planned to update the dashboard for Xbox Live subscribers on 25 August.

Well, it looks like Microsoft slightly changed their webpage which now says 'mid-September'. Did they forget something?

We do not know if MS will include any checks for modchips or try to fix the XFT/ST.DB exploit, but we received information that MS will probably update your dashboard automaticly - without asking. That's why we STRONGLY suggest to all xbox live users to make a FULL backup for the xbox HD (atleast the C drive) so you can always restore it to the old dash if needed.
