From The Sydney Morning Herald:
Software firm Hibana has decided to suspend sales of its modchip which enables one to run Linux on the Xbox after Sony's appeal of a Federal Court ruling was upheld.

Sony Computer Entertainment's appeal in the case against mod chip manufacturer Eddy Stevens of Sydney had gone against the company in July last year. Sony appealed against the decision in September and the decision in its favour was handed down yesterday.

Asked what impact the decision would have on Hibana and whether he had sought legal advice, Sparks said: "For now, we have suspended sales of modchips on our website while we seek a legal opinion."

Hibana had been selling the DualMod modchip using the AussieChip website. On June 23, it made available a version of the chip design for download.
