Sony and Nintendo have nothing to worry about
Red flags were raised last week when videos released showed someone playing a copy of Halo on an allegedly Microsoft-developed handheld device codenamed Origami. There have been rumors of an Xboy-type device from the company for years, but could the company really have kept the entire thing under wraps for this long?
They couldn't because they didn't. Origami - now officially titled Ultra Mobile PCs - is essentially a shrunken, multimedia infused laptop with a touch screen. The machines come equipped with a 7-inch touch-screen displays, built-in hard drives, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth wireless, and Windows XP Tablet Edition as an operating system.
If you're interested in learning more about the device, our partners in online crime at WindowsForDevices has a complete run down of what to expect from the Ultra Mobile PCs, when they'll be available and all that jazz.
