As a result of Mattrick's departure, David Gardner (previously senior vice president of EA international publishing) has been named global studio chief operating officer.

Senior VP of European publishing Gerhard Florin is now executive vice president of international publishing, and Frank Gibeau - formerly senior VP of North American Marketing - is executive VP of North American publishing.

He takes over from Nancy Smith, who has taken on the newly created role of general manager for the Sims franchise.
