Game Rush@BLOCKBUSTER announced today it is unleashing a midnight mayhem launch event to celebrate the release of id Software's long-awaited masterwork of terror, DOOM 3 for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft. Gamers who want to get in on all of the action and excitement in advance of the game's official release, can visit their local Game Rush store where pre-sales are still available and copies of "DOOM 3" will be available at 12 a.m. on Monday, April 4th to rent or buy.

Members of the id Software team will also be making a special guest appearance at the 6437 Hillcrest Game Rush store starting at 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 3 in Dallas to meet fans, give away free DOOM 3 merchandise, and sign autographs during the midnight event.

Players that take part in Game Rush's DOOM 3 midnight launch event will receive 30 percent off the game's official strategy guide and 20 percent off any Xbox accessory with the purchase or rental of DOOM 3.
