Topic: Xbox Emulation

From lantus:
people are probably wondering what the delay is with the new version. Theres a few reasons, ill explain:
- In all honesty, xSnes9x is pretty close to as good as you will get. Theres no real reason to do monthly updates anymore, so i will only be releasing on major updates or "emergency" type fixes.
- There is a new Snes9x release coming out really soon 1.40, i am holding off on any changes until that has been released and any kinks have been ironed out. Its looking good and i cant wait to bring all the new code across to the Xbox.
- Burned out. I've been a little burned out and needed to take a break for a while.

The new release will have quite a few game fixes, as well as the DSP-2 chip emulation (Dungeon Master) and updated DSP-1 emulation. I believe, although im not 100% sure it will make it into the Windows release, that the APU code has been rewritten.

There are also a string of bugs fixed - the changelog is quite large some of which ive mentioned before (cheat codes), some which are new.

On top of this for my port, ive implemented:
- LightGun support for Superscope Games and Justifier (Lethal Enforcers!).
- Nintendo Mouse emulation support using USB Mice.
- Added some rendering filters - Simple and AdvanceMame.
- MOD/S3M/XM/IT/MP3 background music support if you didnt like SID tunes.
- The ability to shortcut to roms via evox (command line parameters).
- SMB support for loading roms remotely
- Other things that may/may not make the final cut. Other than this - I havent messed around with the UI very much because i like the way its turned out in V1.04. I think (its been a while) i fixed some Progressive Scan problems but i will revisit it.

So stay tuned - things will ramping up again.

Oh and xSnes9x turns 1 year old soon :)
