According to our sources, Vivendi Universal Games and developer Valve were planning to bring Half-Life 2 to Xbox sometime in 2005, with the breaking announcement supposedly happening in late summer 2004. Obviously, that didn't happen. VU Games and Valve finally did get Half-Life 2 to market (November 15). But now that Valve is done, many questions arise. Given the two companies' rough relations (i.e. personal bad blood, legal fights, financial surprises and more), Valve's slow development pace, and the potential difficulties in porting Half-Life 2 to Xbox, we predict that Valve's oeuvre, once planned for Xbox, instead will come to Xbox 2 sometime in late 2005.
