Here's something cool for all you XBox owners out there (Bill!). The latest build of XBox Media Center can actually play live video streams through the internet.

Just unzip it, upload it to your XBox and browse to the directories through XBMC (or set up a bookmark) and you can play them all. There are channels from every country, including Japan, Israel, Cuba, etc... so it is quite interesting to get a look at what people aroung the globe are watching. There are also tons of live cams, like the City of Sacramento traffic cameras and live animal exhibits. Most of the feeds are at 320 x 200 and vary in quality (heavy artifacting on some) but considering its all free, its not bad. One more reason I'm glad I have an XBox.
