Microsoft is pitting its best against your best -- if you can spot them. As if you needed even more reasons to jump onto Xbox Live, Microsoft recently announced the Mystery Gamer Program: a chance for you to spot and defeat a mystery Microsoft Xbox employee to win a limited-edition Xbox Live t-shirt.

How does it work? Representatives from Microsoft Xbox executive and product teams will play online under the XboxLive gamertag. If you find "XboxLive" in the game you're playing, you're almost there. Next, you'll have to beat them. Do so, and neverending glory -- and a t-shirt -- could be yours.

Personally, I think this is the poorest motivation tactic that M$ has come up with in a long time. Let me get this right, I have to search out for the employee, beat them at the game, and then for my troubles I get a stinking t-shirt?
