Game freeze when loading have v1.6 softmod unleashx wes213 I got all missing hdd space but why wont it boot backups???

Damn man short and to the point.
Any why check you disc drive, clean it with a q-tip and alcohol.
Check the disc for scratches.
If the games are backups try a bunch to make sure its not just the disc.

I checked the setting on my softmod xbox and a friend softmod xbox and the only thing I could find is when i go into system setting dash version [ more information ]
system info
his said DVD REGION 1
mine said DVD REGION 0
can this be reset to region 1 if so how because I think this is why mine wiil not launch backups only real games???
do you think this is right someone please let me know!

Setting the dvd region is something you need to set when your burning the disc, you will find it in your dvd burner apps settings.
This can not be changed on the xbox.

things to try
#1 go to your file manager then E:\cache\ delete all the files in you cache

wes then how come I checked 2 more modded xboxes and they also have region 1 and mine is region 0 ? Could this happen or the restall of the softmod ? I really dont want to delete anything

The region code is set in you dvd dongle.
The one way i know to change it is to get a region 1 dongle.
But from what i can tell 0 wold mean yours is region free and it will play dvds from any region.
So what app are you useing to make your backup discs?

Its probably the cache causing the game freeze.
As for the DVD regions, mine is set to 0 here in the UK and I can play all the various region bits I have. I think 0 acts as like a multiregion setting.

wes I use alcohol 120% or nero can you erase the chache with out messing up mod and I guess you do it by ftp ?

Well if your saying that when you try to run the backups they won't start, then it could be that you copied the games onto your xbox from a scratched or dirty disc. Clearing the chache is not going to harm anything at all.
And you can do it by ftp or with the file manager.

how do you do it with the file manager I get to them with file manager but how do you delete them there is nothing there that say delete?

blue these games I have had before my hdd crashed I have played them many times I got a new hdd installed and resoftmodded xbox and the backup games start to load then freezes while loading if it matters it stops at the xbox ms screen

Well man got good news and bad news for you.
You have a code for the hdd and when you make a save file it takes not of the hdd code.
So good news you might get the games to run by deleteing the save files.
Bad news you got to delete the save files.
Make a backup of your game saves then remove them and see if that will fix it.

well I dont have no game saves there are some on there that was there when I ran the backup disc I give It a shot
