I was looking at getting a projector to play my video games on in my room. Does anyone know what the best models are? If you own one and are currently liking it please tell me the brand name. Looking for a nice affordable projector. Thank you for your answers and input.

Out of the 8 or 9 projectors i have seen running games i wold say the best i have seen is the Optoma H27, i think costco sells it with the screen for 700.
I know that aint cheap but it looks real nice and has a nice big pic.

700 dollars? Wow that is a little bit more then I was intending to spend. I wonder if there is a cheaper projector on the market that makes a good quality picture?

Keep in mind you get what you pay for but this will get the job done of playing games without looking too washed out or grainie.

Isn't that link to a rental place? Or were you just referring to the projector brand name on the link page?

Okay well I read the reviews on the zoombox and they pretty much say it is cheaply made and doesn't really project a good picture. Anyways does anyone know of another model nicely priced that will project a good picture and last awhile?

Okay well I decided to just purchase a 27 inch sanyo tube tv for now from walmart for 268 dollars. It will do the job until the plasma tv's come down in price. It looks to me like once the projectors are used for awhile they lose thier definition and clarity. So I think it best to stay with a tube tv for awhile. Thanks Wes for your input on this topic.

im planning on building my own and im going to incorporate a motor on it with a remote, so whereever the screen is you can move it remotely! its realy cheap and easy to do - all you need for starters is a small good quality lcd screen for about 10 quid a bulb for 20 a a fan 15 and a box 15-20 (could be more due to design materials) and a mirror 10 and lens 15 all in all around $100-150

I never did like the projectors myself for that right there thay burn up fast and the pic gets crapy at a fast rate.
The best part is you got to play in the dark or the pic is all washed out.

I'm using an Epson PowerLite Home 20 with an 80" 16X9 screen...love it. Great with games and really great with Media Center and all those hi-res torrents out there. Nothing like watching Lost on an 80 inch screen!! Bulbs are good for 3000 hours, I'm at 300 in just over a year. Looks as good today as it did a year ago.
