Im using a X2_5035 bios on my mod chip now, and have a G:\ formatted, but when i go into my xbox through FTP its not there. I was wondering how to make my FTP find my G:\, because it says its not there right now. _________________

Hey dartht33bagger I see you have a HyperX installed in your xbox. Did you install it yourself? Are you happy with the chip, would yopu recommend it to me or others?

Well yes i would even though when you first get it, its a real pain. I now have put one in a xbox and its easy once you do it once. It's easy for solderless things, and it works good. Just remember that the switch on the chip is a 2 bios banks, and the bios must be a 1MB or it will Frag. Also if you need to reflash and u have used both banks you can use the evox flash option in the dash to reflash it. So for $35 you can get a chip that holds a bios, it is a good deal.
Edit: i tried to FTP again this morning and now its there.....freaking weird... _________________

lol, id just like to throw in my 2 cents on that hyperx.
I have baught one, and i think its complete s***, the pogo pins were already mesed up wen i recieved it, so i had to do some soldering anyway. That and it came off the lpc holes ALLLLL the time. i would NOT reccomend this chip, i would reccomend the Xecuter 3 as i have it and have had abolutly no problems with the chip itself.
If you wanna buy a new one, and like solderless installs, go with the X3 and the solderless xapter(made for 1.0-1.5 and 1.6a and 1.6b).

So TheRealHypnotix, Do you think the HyperX fell off the LPC holes all the time due to the screw not holding the HyperX tight enough to the xbox mainboard? Also give some more detailed info on the messed up pogo pins....What did you have to end up soldering? I like the Xecuter 3 + Xaptor combo but most people's wallets do not , you know? But if the cash is there then I can dig it. Personally, I am a fan of Team Duo amongst others like Team Xecuter. You can't beat a 1 MB flashable Duo X2 for less than $15 dollars. I have had 2 of these chips and I just love em'. Team Duo also makes the Duo 3 Gold for Playstation 2 and that modchip has great features and once again a low cost. Bye ya'll
****HypnotiX**** Thanks for the stock Microsoft Dashboard!

Just put a lego on top of the taller chip part, and the dvd drive will hold it down, its really easy to keep it on. _________________

wish u had a hyperx and was on here wen i was using a hyperx lol.
Well, one of the pogo pins ended up being stuck, so no matter what(unless i knew about the lego lol) it wouldn't make ANY contact with that particular LPC hole, so i had to do a some ghetto rigging and soldered some wire down in the LPC hole......ya, its the screw, and th way that the chip was built, it doesn't match up perfectly with the LPC, kind of crooked.
Al in all, its better to buy a GOOD chip the 1st time so you dont have bad experiences.
