OK, I found this info in the www.driverheaven.net forums. I tried it out on my converted retail xbox (running XDK 5933, yoshi debug bios), with no luck. So perhaps you need a genuine debug kit, or I'm just not doing it right.......
A couple of people were playing around with the xbox SDK and found some goodies...
Temp read outs!! Clock speed info!!!
Connect to your debug kit with xbwatson. Reboot it using xbreboot. Pay attention to what it says. Find this line:
WRN[XShell]: CLaunchMenu::CLaunchMenu( CXItem )m_pszSecretKeyCombo - 'YTUD'
When at the main menu of the XDK Launcher, push the corresponding buttons with your secret key, in my case it was YTUD.
A - A Button
B - B Button
Y - Y Button
X - X Button
L - Black Button
W - White Button
U - DPAD Up
D - DPAD Down
F - DPAD Left
R - DPAD Right
T - Left-Thumb Button
I - Right-Thumb Button
E - Left Trigger Button
O - Right Trigger Button
