EEPROM INFORMATION:
The newest revision of the SOS AUTOMATICALLY backs up the EEPROM for you, if you have an older version (than 3325) DO NOT use the "Restore EEprom" function of the SmartXX unless you have a valid backup stored on your SmartXX.
AGAIN - make sure you backup before you restore, or you will clear your eeprom
One of the first things you should do after installing your SmartXX, is upgrading the SOS to the most current. and get a copy of your eeprom stored on a CD or your hard drive in a safe location.
To save the eeprom, there are 2 ways.
1) connect to SmartXX OS via Web browser. open the 'EEprom' menu, then click on 'OnBoard EEprom' and save that file to your PC.
2) click "Backup" from evox. this saves the eeprom to a eeprom.bin (as well as the HD key, and the default bios, which is why i like this option better) file that can be flashed on again using config magic or eeprom magic, available on xbins
