I can't begin to cover everything that I loved about this game. I was unfamilar with the "Gaiden" history, but after playing the demo for two minutes I had to go get this game. Once you get a feel for the controls, which are not difficult at all, you can put together exciting combos and multiple hits.

The graphics were outstanding and exceedingly detailed. The over abundance of various enemies always keeps you on your toes. There are so many levels to this game you have to be very methodic the way you explore the scenery. I was only four levels in when I realized I needed a walkthrough. There is just so much to miss. Even after going through the complete game you still want more. This is one of the most addictive games that I have played in over 20 years.

The cut scenes and cinematography were outstanding. The storyline was easy to follow and kept you interested. The ability to use different weapons, projectiles, blocks, counters, and special attacts gives you a lot to manage. Just playing the first boss fight gives you an inclination of what is ahead, yet when you do get to the higher levels you are astonished at what comes about.

This game was truly one of the great games to come out this year. With XBOX Live also under it's belt, it will certainly be one of 2004's best.
