I've downloaded the AID 2.0 a couple of time and then I extract it with Winrar. but this appears when its done extracting
ERROR C:\Documents and Settings\CERON\Local Settings\Temp\Rar$DI20.7145\Auto-Installer.Deluxev2.o.iso The archive is either in unknown format or damaged
dont know what i am doing wrong.... any suggestions??

If you are trying to extract the actual ISO with Winrar that's your problem.
Just burn the ISO to CD / DVD.

thankz.. i followd the instructions in the manual about burning it to the cd but i get this message Failed to send Cue Sheet
im using the DVD Decrypter
and a MEMOREX cd-rw
any suggestions?

I'd suggest try another burning program that supports the ISO format, or maybe even try another brand of disc.

i have download a cd burner program called cheetah, and i was able to burn the aid to the cd.... thankz

Cool to hear, I would still recommend a DVD as the best media to use though, but CD-R/CD-RW does work properly still, just make sure you Xbox DVD Drives can read them.

hi, guys.. I have a question about the AID2.0... I used it to install a bunch of things on my box, but I think I made the mistake of choosing the "boot ms dashboard" when installing the softmod + ms dash... so now when I turn it on, it loads de original ms dashboard and I cant get it to read any other media than ratail games, and I cant load any other dashboards (unleashx). I know they are in the hdd with the rest of the apps I installed, but I cant use anything because it just loads the original ms dashboard... Can anyone help me with this please!!, thanx

If you installed the tray open menu with SID 3 , you should be able to boot into that (by leaving your tray open on startup), and change where the softmod boots by accessing the modify softmod menu. This won't actually re-install the softmod as such, just fix up where it boots.

Hi,
i am trying to install a dashboard from the dvd and while it installs fine, everytime I reset the xbox it just booits up the regular MS dashboard...
anyway u guys can help me to get round this
also, how do I change the setting so that when I open the disk drive the system doesnt reboot?

Hi,
the reason why the AIDeluxe isnt working is because you have a really old MODCHIP.. I used to have a enigmah and it didnt support flashing or upgrading the xbox hdd..
The Enigmah looks for xboxdash.xbe and not EVOX.xbe as the AIDeluxe installs it.. You will have to manually ftp into your xbox and rename your OFFICIAL M$ Dashboard from xboxdash.xbe to msxboxdash.xbe so you can rename evox.xbe to xboxdash.xbe then all will work just fine!
In other words the first file your modchip looks for on the xbox c drive is the: c:\xboxdash.xbe..

hi, i just installed my executer 3 chip into my 1.6 box, installed the latest x3 bios, but im having problems burning the iso for aid to work on my xbox.
when i use the updater, the iso produced is very small and did not work when i burnt it in nero.
when i used the original iso thats with the download without using the updater, i put a 100mb dummy file with it on a dvd and it burnt fine, but did not boot when i put the disc in.
what am i doing wrong? i used the same brand dvd for the bios which worked fine, so i dont think its this. do i need to have flash protection enabled on the chip to install anything else?

You need to burn the ISO as a disc image, not by just putting the ISO image onto a dvd layout and burning it.

thanks DJB, worked a treat. how do i install skins through a dvd? and is it possible to auto boot to evox rather than having to select boot to dash from the x3 bios
