Wrong Ken. Your a newb not a noob. Cant remember if you saw the post I did at TiZ explaining the diff or not. But a newb is someone whos new to the scene and wants to learn, where as a noob is a looser who refuses to learn more and is happy being unininformed and just being lazy and having others do the work for em. And we both know Ken you aint one of those. You were always happy to learn new stuff, in fact when you first joined here I remember we became friends because of all the time I spent teaching you new stuff. And Im damn glad youre still around I think of all the guys I met here I talk/shoot the shit with you the most.
But to be honest I wouldnt even rank you as a newb because you have a good enough understanding to build your own HDD, to softmod etc. Its just the advanced/complicated stuff that you need help with. And to be honest now days theres very few outside the dev ring (longtime members/mods excluded of course) who really do understand the really advanced stuff anyways. Im sure you could make some coin there in Toto land doing softmods for others and come out looking like a pro

I still think it's funny we haven't had an online game yet, btw just got my 360 flashed so I can play back ups now. I think we've gotten along because were both mouthy pricks. lol.

The problem with me understanding something though is even if I do do it more then once I always forget I don't have that good of memory lol. Which is why I'm always afraid to run updates since I'd probably delete all my data could you imagine a 2tb with erased data after owning it for two years, not for me. Never hurts to double check on something with a pro though.

Hello sorry if im posting this in the wrong place ... I am looking for some help if any I have hot Swapped soft modded my original Xbox all works well the d is 1.00.5659.03 i could not find any way to update that to the last latest dash:( but i ended up having UnleashX ..The small issue im having is I can not change the stock hdd to a new hdd the stock hdd is a 30gig i think its small and can not do anything i would like with it the other hdd is 320gig...my issue is im lost on how to make that hdd work in the xbox...no clue how to lock it i have coppyed from ftp all files that were in the original hdd to the new hdd but the xbox still cant see it as an xbox hdd..from what i have read I would need to make a new xboxhdm disk but i would need the eeprom.bin from the old hdd and that is not at all on the hdd anywhere so im kinda lost i do know if i used a mod chip then i would not have any issues putting hdd in the xbox but I would rather keep with soft mod so if anyone can give me step by step help that be great ty for your time..

Heres what you do. FTP the SID install file to E-UDATA. Now go into your file manager and open the file and click on menu.xbe this will launch the softmod menu and allow you to backup the eeprom. Once thats done grab Autobuilder and use it to rebuild the drive. You will be upgraded to the latest everything (if you use V4)

SID V4 is hard to find all links to it iv found r dead there is only SIDv5 and most from what I can find is its apart of Auto-Installer Deluxe or in SlaYers EvoX Auto-Installer v2.5 would it be alright to take the file out and place it in the E\udata no matter what version it is ?? i do wish they made this simpler to do lol..other than mod chip it..well I have another ? which softmod do u think is best looking and stable in dash ?? im getting use to what i have the more i use it but im kinda one of those guys that love eye candy kinda why i do not use linux os but then i must say knopix has gotten so much better but still stuck at the win98 menu look...

Yep we also have SID5 in the download area (all editions up to 5.0 are in the free area here)

I have been in this game for awhile but still prefer xbox 1 over the 360 . I have a 360 but most of the games are more flash than substance. Does vip status work on all the hq sites or just the one i donated to?

Yeh im new, but i have modded xbox's years ago, recently came across 2 at the local recylcling plant and modded a ver 1.6 with duax2, the other is a 1.5, and ill throw a duox2 in that i guess as well, (sad someone would just terf them out) i do have a ps3 slim, not a xbox360 fan (had the rrod, and ylod on ps3 as well), but totally love the old xbox with halo, halo2, and all the homebrew you could throw at it, plus its great for the movies, and keeping the teenagers entertained with the emulators.
Just to let you know this site is still the site for xbox1. I will never get rid of the xbox 1's.

If we new what we had why would we be asking about it in the first place.

I am totally new to the xbox world. Never actually owned one until relatively recently. Always loved playing it with mates, but never got round to owning one. Now I have three, two chipped and one soft modded. Now I want to try and make a laptop with one, a mini with another.

More info is usualy required because what we are told doesnt usualy narrow down the issue so that we can give proper advice. We could be like some who just run off half cocked spitting out what first comes to mind. But we prefer to be accurate which means having the max info before giving our opinion on a course of action.
