Hi (My first Post)
I have a Xbox ver 1.6 and X2_2.6 but I don't know what BIOS to use.
I tryed the X3_1959_v16plus and when I boot I get a powern then off then on then off then on and then the red frag.
Will this BIOS work or do I need to find something else
Thanks for any help I can get

Hiya
The bios you have is for the X3 only, you need the Evox M8+ bios (beta 4).
Hope you have a spare bank to boot from or your gonna need to buy the programmer.

Hiya
Not as standard no, you need the LBA48 version, or you must patch it yourself with lba48. Best to try and find an lba one to download

Also, I have a questions about the M8 plus beta 4 bios. I was always under the assumption that this is for 1.6b versions using the Hynix RAM not the 1.6 versions that use the Samsung RAM.
From what I thought of the M8 plus, it compensates for the Hynix RAM being slower and will allow you to play games off of HD without them freezing/hanging up on you.
If that is the case, then wouldn't this cause issues if used on a regular 1.6 or does it not matter what you use the M8 plus beta 4 on?
I just don't want to steer anyone the wrong way and possibly was under the wrong idea about the beta 4 bios.
The link I provided is the M8 bios with the LBA48 hack. I uploaded it and used it on tons of 1.6 machines with no issues. It does not format a G drive. It keeps everything on the F drive instead of splitting up to a G drive. I like this especially with HD's less than 250GB

No problem whatsoever...also, forgive my manners..
Let me officially welcome you to the site.
One thing you will get here is a lot of help. Unlike some other forums where you constantly get flamed for ansking frequently asked questions, we will not do that here. So, no matter how basic you think a question is don't hesitate to ask.
