If I said you could play an XBOX game backup on your unmodded XBOX what would you say?

Well Im gonna tell you how(a full tut with pics and vids will get posted when I have the chance)
Here it is in a nutshell.
The XBOX will play any disc (burned, pressed, whatever) if a few conditions are met.
#1 It must have an MS signed XBE. This means YOU CANNOT use a game thats been media patched. It MUST be the original XBE.
#2 You need to go into your ImgBurn settings and change book-type to DVD-ROM
Stay tuned HQ, and you will see a vid of me nuking my softmod, returning my XBOX to stock and still play a backup
99.9% of the credit for this goes to Angerwound as he originaly used a method similar to this to get a burned copy of The Hulk Bonus Disc to run on an unmodded XBOX

A video of a stock XBOX running a burned copy of Godfather
Theres 2 methods Ive used to obtain the un-patched XBE.
1)Use Unleashx for the rip and disable patching and renaming in the settings menu
2)Rip the game using your prefered app of choice, then use Ux or XBMC filemanager to manualy copy the xbe then switch em out before making the ISO
MAKE SURE AUTO-PATCH IS TURNED OFF IN THE APP YOU USE TO MAKE THE ISO
(Im gonna do some tests with XBE Dump to see if I can sign Babylons XBE to run as well)

1, 1/1 mirror of the retail disk as a backup...(TC's SS)
2, run the mc exploits as normal!

Im not sure if a habibi sign is gonna work. I think the only reason it works is because the xbe is untouched so it still has the valid ms signature. Kinda use less for somebody with no mod cause virtualy every game floating on the net has a patched xbe from when it got ripped. You need a modded xbox to get a virgin xbe which kinda defeats the whole purpose. Modded one, well shit mod the other sucker

this reminds me of FMCB (in a twisted way)
use a modded ps2 (hardmod/FMCB) with FMCB to create clone cards and use them on a virgin ps2!
if what you're doing works with a clean backup disk and mc exploit, all bets are off for the kits! well, sort of....
if this works, i've got three disks with exploit to send out to virgin xboxs...
i wouldn't need to loan out my retails just for the kick-off, the 1/1 backup disk should handle it nicely..if it works!
....
i REALLY hope this comes to light, it opens up possibilities...
aye, the isolated no mods would be at an endpass but all it would take is them downloading a clean image, write that to disk and then get an mc with exploit and run it...DING!

at this point, all the difference between the methods of FMCB and xbox-sofmod would be a physical backup disk to use ONCE per xbox...

Any updates on whether this worked with babylon?
I'm wondering whether this means someone can just take a special digital copy of babylon from the net, burn to a dvd, pop into an unmodded xbox and mod it that way.
Is it possible for someone to do this? Then no memory cards, SDs or USBs would be required...

Doesnt work. I checked and Ux xbe's are already Habbibi signed which means an XBE Dump sign wont work. If it would you could just pop Babylon into an unmodded XBOX as is. Habbibi sign requires a font/audio exploit to work.
For any homebrew to work means 1 of 4 things
1)Spoof the hash and sign the game with my NHL2005 key dump (or another any game key will work if you spoof the hash, theres keys from other games that others have dumped floating, just nobody has succesfuly used any key dump to sign)
2)Replace the BIOS
3)Straight up public key hack (no font exploit)
4)Current gen softmod (font exploit+BIOS patch)

I looked up "booktyping" real quick. Something to do with compatibility of dvds? How does it help with xbox games? It reverts the xbox game information to an unpatched version or something?
