First of all, hello to everyone. I've tried to research as much as I could by myself, but I'm stumped at what's causing this situation so I'm asking for a little help.
So:
I'm trying to Softmod a (very beaten, but functional) Xbox via hotswapping, following some guides I used ndure 3.1 (Kernel 5101) and XboxHDM 1.9 to make an .iso. After getting the trick, successfully hotswapped the HDD and installed it. So far, so good. The funky part is that the console when turned on (either by power or eject) sits on a black screen saying:
"Not all required resources can be loaded. This is usually caused by lack of HD space on E:\ or X:\. You can try FTPing (192.168.0.100:21) and correct the problem."
Following the warning, I tried to FTP my way in the console with success. A stock HDD (what I'm using) should have an E:\ with about 4GB. My E:\ has 12.5MB worth of files (gotten through said FTP), after deleting the files in \backup. Still, the same message pops up.
In short: Tried to hotswap softmod, kinda worked, black screen stating either e:\ or x:\ have lack of space, FTP says they don't, help? I have all the information from the process stored away, if anything else is required to make sense of this mess, be free to ask, I'll be more than glad to respond.
Thanks in advance to all who waste a little time reading through all this.
EDIT:
After tinkering a bit with Fillezilla, I got this info regarding my filesystem:
220-Drive C Used: 174,03MB Free: 161,92MB Total: 335,95MB
220-Drive D Used: 0,00MB Free: 0,00MB Total: 0,00MB

Hello and welcome to the HQ!
So, from my XP on xbox modding, i would reperform the Hotswap and instead of using ndure, go to HERE and download AID and in the files will be SID (Softmod Installer Deluxe) and use this instead of using ndure as it is more up to date and may also require much less space and probably less errors as well.

Hit me up on aim or something for further questions/help!
Hello Hypno, thanks for the welcome.
I had already downloaded and burned a copy of AID, but using the hotswap method how can I launch it? I believe the program only works from an Xbox, and the hotswap method uses a custom Linux Live CD. Is there a way to convert the SID to "Hotswap mode" or am I (most likely) missing something?

LOL ill be honest, when i typed that i was at work and it was very busy. But you would have to have a specific disk to get SID to work, like Splinter Cell 1, Mech Assault or 007 Agent Under Fire. Which ever one is used would have to be the original copy, not the reburn platinum hits that you get for $20 at walmart.
That being said, if there is a way to get it to work without the above said game(s)then hopefully there is someone here that can shed some light on the situation.
If this is not possible maybe you could get AID to load after getting the other softmod your going for to work properly and at least get the latest version of which ever dashboard you choose.
If none of this works, hell get a mod chip and hardmod that sucker lol. could even get a solderless adapter so you dont have to worry about soldering and screwing something up. I prefer soldered, but if you have no experience with it, i do not suggest this being your first project.
