ok, i finally got it to set up so i can send files to the xbox (woo hoo)
i can send divix/mpeg/mpg/avi those all work
but music videos saved in mpeg wont transfer over, says file transfer failed
however ... i can transfer MP3's over, and put them in the same folder ( and other folders) as my other files .. trouble is xbmc wont even recognise them, and i know they are on there because i can watch it eat up HD space as i transfer them over, ... is this a codec error? or a .xml setting problem? please help!
also ... if i cant get XBMC to work are there other appz that will play media files? _________________ DreamX-733

I know this is a silly question, but I did the exact same thing when I did my XBMC. There are more than one audio folders on your HD. Are you sure you are having XBMC look in the correct folder.
What I would do is this. Jump on your FTP program and navigate to your folder where you threw the MP3's in.
Then look and see what folder they are in. Such as: E:\Audio or F:\Audio
Then, go to your XBMC and then to my music, then manually navigate to the folder. They have to be there if you FTP'd them properly. Even if it doesn't recognize a file extension the file would still be listed, just not playable. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

yeah thats the weird thing, i double checked and i dumped 3 files into f://videos/music videos/ i have like 10 movie clips in there, dumped the MP3's in the same folder, watched it eat the HD space on the evox dash then went to find the mp3's and there not there ... checked on FTP client and they are showing in the same folder as all my other stuff, .. ive looked through all folders. maybe my xbmc cant play MP3's? _________________ DreamX-733

AHH HAH! i figured it out.... it wasnt MP3's, it wasnt the folder' and i figured out how to get all files onto my xbox
important note for anyone with XBMC,
some characteres fir instance a comma, paranthesis, exclamation point, astrics, plus signs .. anything like that
if the file has any of those characters in the file name xbmc wont display it, fixed the problem and everything is WONDERFUL!!!!
real quick question though
my version of evox looks realy crappy, and the background looks bad ( i think its because of friendtech making it "legal" anyway, i was wonderinf if there is a way to skin evox or do i need to download and install a whole new copy, but i did find a way to get all my games to show up in xbox media center and can i say now that i got it configured right xbmc ROCKS!
also are there any other game loading apps other than px hdd loader?
that program is ugly .. and i want something so i can rename my games, because the sims:bustin out for example
it says (no game name set in .xml file)
and it displays that as the game name... kinda anoying
but anyway.. ill still paste my .xml file in here so you guys can see if there are any settings i need to change
btw, thanks SOOOO MUCH you all your help, finding this site was the best thing that happened to my xbox crave! _________________ DreamX-733
