I have a softmoded xbox v1.0 thompson dvd drive modded withthe mechasualt save. I copied the save game to hard drive then I ran the ude installer and follwed the direction completely with the one on ho2 xbox. Then I got aid and fllowed it after I modded the xbox and installed the ings I want from the aid 2.0.
How ever I can't get my copied games to work in xbox. I have even tried a differnt media I tried one kind not sure of the brand and then tried a game given to me on a memorex dvd+r. the one I am not sure of loads but plays for a sec then goes to black screen and locks up. The Memorex one just takes me right back to evox dash screen.
help can some one give me some sugestions or something.
I can't get any of my ps1 games to work either in the pcsx to work?

Fish out of water. Never softmodded BUT I do know my 1.0 and it's drive is pickier than a 5 year old and what he will eat. I'm not sure whether there is an issue with the mod but since the Evox is showing up, I have to assume the mod is not the issue but the drive. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Yout thiink it will just play only a certain media type.

It's real picky. Sometimes mine will play the media and other times it won't play the same damn disk. Fingerprints, pms, who knows. So once I get something loaded I use DVD2Xbox and slam it on the hard drive.

im 100% sure the media your using dosnt work on the 1.0's. Like shark says they are really picky. And as for the psx roms, make sure there on your hard drive as Cd images.

What do you mean by cd image, like an iso?

no no, The PSX games are saaved to the CDS as a CDimage- kind of like an Iso. You cant just toss all the files in a folder and call it good. Try burning it as a CD image in Nero,

If you want to use writable media
in your xbox, I would highly
recomend getting shot of that
thompson.
you'd be so much better off with
any of the other 3 brands of
xbox Dvd drive.
i've met loads of people who don't
like the phillips for example,
that i don't understand as it's
very obvious that phillips disks

Thanks guys I will try some things when I get home I am at work now.
I got so frustrated with it not playing any burned games. That I put in the AID and formated C and E and then reinstalled the pbl and msdash from the softmod section on the AID. Going to try several things when I get home.
If anyone has sugestions or anything for please do.
