I am having trouble with my sureal and psx. I have extracted the final fantasy IV and ftp it over to the psxcds folder. When I select the game file it take me to the game configuration screen then Im not sure what to do so I selected the download from website but I did not see anything listed for it only the other FF games. Also I have project 64 on my pc and I am able to run the roms just by selecting the rar file from directory. This doesn't work on the one for xbox. Do I need to extrasact the rom and ftp the rom itself over to the folder?
Any help is appreciated on how to get my psx game to work and on my sureal64?

one at a time mate..
PCSXBOX requires you do have the games in IMAGE format.
This means you must get a orignal PSX game and then use a CD burning app like CDRWIN 3.0 to make a image of the cd on your pc hdd.
Once you create a image of the disc on your pc using cdrwin you should have a .cue file and a .bin file of the same name..
For example. I did Grand Theft Auto and now i have GTA.cue and GTA.bin.. All i do is dump these two files over to the PCSROMS directory..
then restart the emulator an dyou should be able to play.
I havent used PCSXBOX for such a long time either.. It used to work great for older PSX games but now i dont know.. It may support the great games too..

can you help me with sureal real quick.
I can't get some games to work and one tha plays but video is messed up at places?

No probs..
kk.. So most n64 roms play fine?? Does mario kart and all thebasic n64 roms work.. I think you will find that different Surreal versions support different games.. Well thats what it was atleast when i was using it.
I found some games ran better on a previous version..
What version of Surreal are you currently running and what roms in particular are playing up.. I doubt very much that ALL n64 roms will work.. Its best to read the .nfo which comes with the emulator download.

Hey FH thanks for quick reply.
Ok I have sureal64 xxx the on in the emu pack off the aid 2.0. Th only games I have so far is conker bad fur day, starfox, star fox works fine with all 3 emu in sureal, conker only loads in the 1964 emu however it gets to places where the screen is scrambled alittle for a few secs.
I also downloaded asteriods hyper, castivania, and castvania darkness from the vip downloads and ftp the zip to my rom folder in the surea64 directory, but it doesn't see them, so I extracted the files and ftp the file and that only shows up as unknown and wont load?

Like i mentioned ealier.. You will find games like CONKERS BAD FUR DAY wont work.. Well as far as i know they dont.. Only the earlier games will work 100%.. Maybe you should go looking for a N64 working list from somewhere.. Im sure someone would have made one saying which ones work and dont..
If they havent it could be a cool little project for you..

I havent tried those roms but they must work otherwise members would report them.. Maybe they are corrupt.. Go and download some more roms from another site and try again.. It may just be bad files.

i would say they are the same but the xbox may be running an older version.. Go and check it out.. All info on the emulators are in the .nfo (TXT files) which accompany the emulator..
Different N64 emulators may run different games.. I only wish i had the time to sit down and play more..

Also I know what you mean. This is first chance i have had to sit down at my computer and xbox for a few weeks.
