OK, my hacked Apex DVD player crapped out on me. I'm trying to use my Xbox as the hacked DVD player to backup my DVDs. DVD Recorder is not allowing me to do this. Any ideas how to make it so? Thanks! _________________ The World's Most Awesome Xbox 360 Room

Hey! Rainman was a savant!... an idiot savant, but a savant, nonetheless.
I've neglected xbox-hq because I discovered GIRLS!
I've been hiding! Working! Saving money! So I can buy a 360, Revolution, and a PS3 when they come out!
Could those sneaky bastards have come up with a way to prevent my DVD recorder from recording my DVDs outside the Macrovision scheme???? When I try to record this signal from the Xbox, the recorder displays this message on-screen: "Copying of this material is not allowed. Cannot record." The DVD Recorder is a Panasonic DMR-EH50. I just got it today. My previous Panasonic DVD recorder also would not record from Xbox, but would do just fine with a hacked Apex DVD player hooked to it.
I'm using DVDX Region v2.0 and BIOS is X2 4983.06. _________________ The World's Most Awesome Xbox 360 Room

I think you may be correct. This way, your DVD recorder company cannot get sued for giving the ability to circumvent copy protection...
Like I said, I'm not real knowledgable in this area but you are probably correct. By the way, what model was your Apex? Was it the AD-500W?
I see those selling all the time on Ebay and they seem to be quite popular as websites have info on hacking them.
I have one that I am not using. As a matter of fact, I have only used it a handful of times..
If you need it (it's not hacked, but I am sure you can to it) just let me know.
I'll give it to you for the shipping. It's just collecting dust. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter
