I have an xbox <1.6 with a smartxx 2 chip and i have evox and x2 and have no problems loading games but i wanted to put some games on the hdd, so i put tiger woods on the e: partition and now it is almost out of space, i know there is an f: and g: partitions but when i write to them i get access denied, i have looked through some posts an in particular the one that says format the partition/drive, so i formatted the f: partition using raw ftp commands and it really didn't seem like it formatted the partition, anyways i am still at not being able to write to f: or g:, can someone point me in the right direction?

you can only use the F: or G:\ parititons if you have upgraded your xbox hdd.. The retail xbox hdd is only 8 gb or so.. So it sounds like you still have your retail hdd installed.
