I previously had my xbox modded and running, everything was fine until i made a stupid mistake and accidently formatted my C: drive on my new HD. I lost my old HD so I cant just use the Hd upgrade wizard again. I borrowed another friends xbox which also was a 1.0 and tried to use the HD upgrade wizard, It never works it just gives me an error message. then when I try to load retail kernal it gives me the contact microsoft error message. the other thing is that I backed up my eeprom with my friends HD hooked up to my xbox will this make a difference. anyways I cant find a way to create a new C: partition on my HD so that I can load my dashboards and ect. any help out there. Sad

First off, the reason you are getting erros is because your xbox boots to the C drive. You no longer have the needed files.

You can A: download the dashboards and FTP them to your C drive using the xenium Ice FTP tools or B: download autoinstaller deluxe from the VIP server and just boot the installer and install that way. Piece of cake Smile

ok my xbox loads up the xenium bios and allows me to navigate throught the menus but for some reason when I use my ftp programs from my pc such as flashfxp it wont allow me to connect. if someone could help me connect to my xbox via ftp given the circumstances of my xbox I could create the C: folder and I allready have all the dashboards and bios and everything on my computer. just need to know how to use the xenium ice ftp tool or some other way of connecting to my xbox so that I can send files from my computer to my xbox HD. thanks for the reply

i'm beginning to think that the reason I cant connect to my xbox via ftp is becase when I formatted my HD it had all the drivers that tell the xbox how to use its hardware. so for instance I cant connect throught ftp becasue the xbox doesnt realize how to use the eithernet port, can any one confirm this if so let me know please. the other thing is that I cant flash the tsop because I must have messed up by eeprom or maybe its because I have no C: partition on my HD so the files cant be flashed. I dont know I'm Really confused and think I have done the worst thing ever and my my previously tight ass xbox into a hunk of unworkable circuts and wires. any help on how to restore a completely f-ed up xbox would be greatly appreciated

Nope, I do not think that is your issue.

Firstly, what is your PC's IP address?

Are you connecting your Xbox to a router using a Cat5 line, or are you connecting your Xbox directly to your PC using a crossover cable?
